Kripke continued, “He’s got to write a great pilot, he’ll probably have to write a great Episode 2. I think he can do that and he will do that, but we’re still a little bit away from really starting to put in the Easter eggs and the setups and stuff. “

According to Kripke, one of the main things they need to see is whether the show is strong enough to stand on its own, as if the main series didn’t exist.

Kripke went on to explain, “I really don’t want people to feel like they have to watch one [show] to understand the other. I never want it to feel like homework or required viewing. I think this has hurt Marvel in a way, and I don’t want to do that.

“I want you to watch both shows. It definitely expands your enjoyment and experience of both shows because you understand some of the backstory where things come from, but you’re absolutely not forced to do so.”

Kripke continued speaking The boys and reiterated that he knows how he wants to end the series, saying: “I have an ending in mind for The boys. We’ll see how long it takes to get there.

“Then Gen V it is his own animal that will have its end. They inform each other, but we let everyone breathe on their own.”

As long as the creative team behind this franchise continues to produce fantastic and crazy stories, people will continue to watch and join in the fun.
