We’re about to see Furiosa’s origin story unfold on the big screen Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which sounds like a really great movie! This movie will deliver something special and completely badass!
This film will lead to the events in Mad Max: Road Furyand now director George Miller says he would like to see what happens to the Wasteland warrior after the events of Way of Fury.
During a recent interview with GamesRadar, Miller said, “I’ve often speculated when we’ll see Furiosa go up the Citadel on that platform at the very end. [of Fury Road] and greets Max as he wanders the Wasteland.
The director added: “I often think: ‘What is she doing, sitting at the top of the ruling hierarchy? Do you fall into the typical trap of most revolutionaries? You know, yesterday’s hero becomes tomorrow’s tyrant, which is a classic in storytelling.’”
I would definitely like to see his story continue, who knows, maybe Miller will eventually get to tell that story. Miller has a lot of stories to tell in the Mad Max universe, though! I imagine he won’t be able to tell them all, but I hope he will be able to realize the ones he’s passionate about.
Miller revealed that he is in the early stages of developing a new Mad Max prequel story based on the character’s history.
The director explained: “Doing what we did in the preparation of Mad Max: Road Furywe also wrote about what happened to Max the year before we met [that film].”
He added: “And as we get closer to the end of this movie, the timeline… Basically, we had to see that Mad Max was lurking somewhere because we know what happened.”
The director went on to say, “The writers know what happened to Mad Max that year before, and we have a whole story about it, which I would love to do sometime if I get the chance.”
In Furious“As the world collapses, the young Furiosa is kidnapped from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great horde of bikers led by the warlord Dementus.
“Crossing the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by Immortal Joe. As the two Tyrants fight for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she scrapes together the means to find her way home.”
Miller has spoken out before Furisoa and revealed that the story takes place over the course of 15 years and leads directly to the events of Mad Max: Road Fury.
Miller shared, “The story is the saga of Furiosa, and how she gets taken away from home and spends the rest of her life trying to get back. [In] Way of Fury, the story takes place over three days and two nights. This film follows the story as it intertwines directly Way of Furyfor 15 years.”
It’s also in the cast Anya Taylor-Gioia, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Angus Sampson, Nathan Jones, Daniel Webber, Lachy HulmeAND Quaden Bayles.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be released in theaters on May 24, 2024.
