We have a first image with the young protagonists of Lucasfilm Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew series. The image comes in the form of new merchandise.

The merch is a limited edition bar that includes the likenesses of the young characters, but it’s the packaging that offers an even better look.

The series has been described as “a galactic take on the classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the 1980s”. The story will follow four kids from a tiny planet who end up lost in the world Star Wars galaxy and embark on a journey to find their way home.

The film was presented to Lucasfilm as “The Goonies In Star Wars“, and it was explained that although the series stars four children, it is “not a children’s show”.

The adventure they find themselves on is said to be an intense and dark journey. In the story, four boys make “a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet and become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies, will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”

Producer Christopher Ford offered some new details about the series saying that they intended to tell a fun adventure story. He said: “Skeleton crewits tone is an adventure.

He continued: “We wanted it to be a lot of fun. But of course along with the adventure comes the downside, namely danger. And when children are in danger, the situation is even more complicated. So we played around with it, but overall we wanted it to be just a fun adventure.”

Ford continued to talk about the tone of the series, saying, “We hope it can be for all ages. When we talked to Kathy Kennedy about it, we wanted to go with that Amblin tone, which she’s perfected over the years, what she said is who never thought of those as children’s films, they’re just about children, a story about a child going on an adventure, so it could be for anyone.

Jude Law he also previously spoke about his character in the story, saying, “I can’t tell you much about my character. He’s someone the kids meet as they try to get home. It’s like so much of the world they experience: contradictory, and sometimes a place of nourishment and other times a place of threat.”

He added: “Because it’s through their eyes, sometimes there’s a sort of silly nature and silly relationship between the kids and the adults. And then other times it’s really quite dark and quite scary, which I guess is what probably the world appears.” A lot of 11-year-olds like it.”

The children in the series are played by Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy SmithAND Ryan Kiera Armstrong. The episodes of the show will be directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, The Daniels, David Lowery, Jake SchreierAND Lee Isaac Chung. The Mandalorian’S Jon Favreau AND Dave Filoni will be the executive producer.

The series will premiere on Disney+ later this Christmas.
