The VISIONQUEST trailer reveals Human Ultron, Wanda’s son and the next chapter in the WANDAVISION saga

The first trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest premiered at New York Comic Con, giving fans a preview of what’s shaping up to be one of the most intriguing entries in the MCU’s television lineup.

The series was created by Terry Matalas and brings back Paolo Bettany like Vision, but with some unexpected twists that are sure to grab the attention of Marvel fans everywhere.

According to Variety’s trailer description, the footage featured Bettany not only as the last White Vision audiences saw at the end of WandaVisionbut also as a human version of the synthezoid.

“The trailer showed Bettany as White Vision from the end of WandaVisionas well as a normal-looking human version,” the report reads.

“There were also human versions of Ultron, who he voiced James Spader in the second Avengers film and in the artificial intelligence programs Jarvis, Friday and Edith. At the end of the trailer, there was a brief shot of Tommy as an adult, Vision and Wanda’s son appearing as a child in WandaVision.”

The footage also hinted at the larger scope of the story, linking it directly to WandaVision AND Agata always.

“Vision Quest was described as the third part of a trilogy that included WandaVision and Agatha All Along. In the trailer, Bettany approaches a white mansion and is greeted by human servants who are actually simply recreated artificial intelligence programs.

“They include Jarvis, who was Tony Stark’s AI program that later became Vision; Friday, who replaced Jarvis and was Stark and Spider-Man’s AI assistant; and Edith, the AI program in Stark’s sunglasses from Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

This new evolution of Vision’s story looks to explore what it means to be human, a theme that has been at the heart of the character since his debut in the MCU. The idea of humanized AI versions of Ultron, Jarvis, Friday and Edith adds a fascinating new layer to the narrative, suggesting a world where AI could take more tangible and emotional forms.

Alongside Bettany VisionQuest and Spader, the series also features Todd Stashwick in the role of Paladin, Ruaridh Crumb as Thomas Shepherd, T’Nia Miller like Jocasta, Emily Hampshire like Edith, Orla Brady like Friday, and Faran Tahir like Raza.

VisionQuest will serve as both a continuation and a deep philosophical dive into Vision’s next journey WandaVision. Fans can expect more heart, introspection, and, of course, plenty of Marvel-style mystery when the series premieres on Disney+ in 2026.
