From Marvel Iron heart The series has been on a long road with some hiccups along the way as there have been several delays. But the studio revealed that the series will finally premiere in 2025.
Marvel also showed a trailer for Iron heart during the Disney Upfronts presentation. I’ve already seen some of them Iron heart filmed at D23 a couple of years ago, and it seemed to excite some fans.
IGN offered some details on the recent footage stating that it “didn’t show much, but it did show some brief footage of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) struggle to build his armor.
“And it gives us an idea of where the series might pick up Riri’s story: As a young student at MIT, we see her steal various parts from the campus and then get kicked out of the institution for doing so.”
They go on to say that the rest of the trailer is “a couple of badass shots of the Ironheart suit.”
This is in line with the story arc of the comics as Riri’s origin story has her leaving school after being accused of stealing.
The six-episode series was created by Chinaka Hodgeand the story follows Riri Williams, a young engineering genius and creator of the most advanced armor since Iron Man. The series will be set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
It was previously said that the theme of Iron heart it will be “Magic vs Technology”. Producer Nate Moore has said that he sees the Ironheart series as a direct sequel to Wakanda forever.
He said: “That show is an outgrowth of how much we liked her in this film and also on the page. So when we talked to [Dominique Throne] initially, of course, the character was already written into the script and she was the only person we talked about for the role. When she said yes and we were well underway with the script, we started talking to her too [Ryan Coogler] about what the show could be like.
“So, the show is a direct sequel to the movie. And… [Riri Williams] he’s bringing his experiences in this film home to MIT. And there are some interesting spin-offs to her adventures that will put her on a fun path.”
Iron heart even stars Antonio Ramos as the Marvel villain known as The Hood, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Shea CouleéAND Zoe Terakes.
Ryan Coogler’s production company, Proximity, is producing the series, and Chinaka Hodge serves as head writer. The series is also the protagonist Ross lyrical (this is us) AND Alden Ehrenreich (Solo).
