The film follows the life of Laura (Adams) “after a long rehabilitation, as she returns to her family at their beach holiday home where she must readjust to the complicated life she left behind.
“Now she is forced to face the next chapter of her life without the career that gave her fame, fortune and, above all, identity.”
This seems like the kind of film project where Adams will be able to show off his dramatic acting skills. It seems like a strong project for her as she will be playing another complex and complicated character.
Adams recently wrapped production on 3000 Pictures’ Chiara and the sun, from director Taika Waititi, which adapts Kazuo Ishiguro’s dystopian science fiction story. We will next see her starring in Searchlight Pictures’ horror comedy Night time bitch by the director Marielle Heller.
At the sea will go into production in Boston in June.
