A reboot of HEROES is in development by creator Tim Kring

Heroes Creator Tim Kring is developing a reboot of the classic 2006 superhero series, which will be titled Heroes: Eclipsed.

Heroes: Eclipsed is set “years after the events of the original series, when new EVOs are awakened and discover powers that will change their lives.”

The series will also feature “familiar villains and new enemies who will once again attempt to suppress this next step in human evolution, and it will be up to this new group of heroes to save the world.”

The new version of the series does not have a home at the moment and is currently being sold around Hollywood. All of this will happen the week of the solar eclipse.

I’m sure you all remember that the original series began with a solar eclipse in the pilot, and that ended up becoming a recurring theme throughout the series.

I liked the original Heroes series! It eventually faded away, and then came the 2015 limited series Heroes reborn, which was ok. It would be great if King could actually improve on what came before, but that almost never happens. We’ll just have to wait and see how it turns out!

It’s an interesting time to try to reboot a project like this when superhero projects are currently in a state of fatigue.

What do you think about it Heroes in the process of rebooting?
