Carrie-Anne Moss’s Jedi character in STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE is “very inspired by Trinity”

One of the main things I’m looking forward to seeing in future Lucasfilm films Star Wars series The Acolyte AND Carrie’Anne Moss’Jedi character in action.

I’m a big fan of Moss and I think it’s really cool that she joined the group Star Wars universe. Sure, it might not be a project that many fans are excited about, but I hope she gets to play a great character!

Moss plays Jedi Master Indara in the series, and is experienced in the ways of the Force and martial arts. We get a little sneak peek of his “Force-fu” in action in the trailer that has been released.

During a recent interview with Empire, creator of the series Leslye Promontory said it was a “no-brainer” to cast Moss in the role, and confirmed that her character “is very inspired by Trinity”. She wants fans to see Indara as “Trinity with a lightsaber.”

Headland added: “I personally wanted to see someone who had the highest status imaginable in a Force-fu fight – someone who would walk in and you’d immediately be like, ‘Oh, that’s the most powerful Jedi in the room.’ And this is Trinity.

Moss continued to share his thoughts on playing this character by saying, “I’ve felt that a few times in my career, with some of the great things I’ve done – I remember, The matrix – where you talk to the director and you just say, ‘Oh, they totally get it.'”

He continued, “In my soul and spirit, being able to play this Jedi Master and train for combat was [an] extraordinary experience. Part of me has forgotten how much I love action. I love it. It’s difficult. But I was really excited to be able to do it and I wanted to do it well. “Give me another take!” Give me another take!’”

It was previously revealed that Moss’ character is a Jedi warrior known for defeating her enemies without using her lightsaber, so the Sith assassin vows to learn martial arts and kill the Jedi Master only using her combat skills body to body.

In the series, Amanda Steinberg he is a former Padawan and a dangerous warrior who is hunting and killing Jedi.

The story is described as “a mystery thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.” The High Republic is set 100 years before the start of the Skywalker Saga.

In The Acolyte, “An investigation into a shocking crime wave pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg). As new clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal that all is not what it seems….”

The series is also the protagonist Squid game‘S Lee Jung Jae plays the Jedi Master, Manny Giacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margherita Levieva, Joonas SuotamoAND Amy Tsang.

The Acolyte will have eight episodes total, with Headland, Garcia Lopez and Kogonada directing the series’ episodes. The premiere is scheduled for June 4, 2024 on Disney+.
