Emmy nominee David Schwimmer (Friends, The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story) took on the lead role in the second season of the Disney+ anthology series Goose bumps. The series is based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling Scholastic series. Each season features a new story, setting and cast. The second season will follow teenage brothers who discover a looming threat, triggering a chain of events that unravel a deep mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the two find themselves entangled in the chilling story of four teenagers who mysteriously disappeared in 1994.
Schwimmer will play Anthony, a former botany professor and divorced parent of teenage twins whose world takes a tumultuous turn as he juggles the responsibilities of supervising an elderly parent while having his own children for the summer.
Nicola Stoller (The Muppets) AND Rob Letterman (Pokémon Detective Pikachu) developed the series and serve as executive producers, along with showrunner Hilary Winston (Community), Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious franchise), Iole Lucchese of Scholastic Entertainment (Clifford the big red dog), Pavun Shetty (The boys), Conor Welch (Platonic), Caitlin Friedman of Scholastic Entertainment (Still water) and Erin O’Malley (New girl).
Three-time Emmy nominee Schwimmer will next appear in this independent film Little Deathproduced by Darren Aronofskyrecently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
