Naldy Saldaña's parents address La Bella Luz complaint

Gerardo Saldaña and Dermila Toro, the parents of 26-year-old singer Naldy Saldaña, announced they will travel to Lima following a complaint against former La Bella Luz musical director César Sánchez Chavesta for alleged inappropriate touching.

Sánchez Chavesta was removed from his position with the cumbia group after the accusation was made public. The family confirmed they are traveling from Morropón to the capital to accompany the vocalist during legal proceedings and ensure the case does not go unpunished.

Speaking in a telephone call on the television program América hoy, Gerardo Saldaña expressed deep outrage over the events involving his daughter. He stated that his family is from the northern region of Peru and described the situation as extremely serious. He added that they will do everything possible to seek justice and said the ordeal has caused immense pain for the family.

Dermila Toro also described the severe emotional toll the situation has taken on the family since learning of the alleged abuse. She stated that they are experiencing a critical and delicate moment, adding that as a mother she was left speechless by what happened to her daughter.

Family travel and legal response

Toro revealed that she was among the first people informed about the alleged incident. She explained that her daughter told her what happened while crying on the day of the event, and immediately filed a complaint with the prosecutor office.

According to Toro, the singer initially delayed making the public report because she expected the orchestra to take internal measures and defend her. She explained that her daughter was gathering the courage needed to publicly disclose the situation, which was not easy for her.

Delay in public disclosure

Because the vocalist anticipated that the musical group would step in and separate the accused director, she remained working with the band for nearly another month. Toro said her daughter eventually reached a point where she could no longer continue performing alongside the accused, stating she could not bear to look at the face of a monster.
