Lenovo has launched the Legion 34W-2C, a new curved ultra-wide gaming monitor, in China. The 34-inch display targets competitive gaming with a high refresh rate, WQHD resolution and wide color gamut support. It is priced at 1,799 yuan, about $266.
Display and refresh rate
The Legion 34W-2C uses a VA panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 3440 x 1440 WQHD resolution, curved at 1500R to bring the edges of the screen closer to the viewer's field of vision. The VA panel delivers a contrast ratio of 4000:1, with typical brightness of 400 nits that can reach 410 nits, and it carries basic DisplayHDR 400 support.
The monitor's refresh rate reaches 240Hz. Lenovo offers several overdrive settings to optimize response times, with gray-to-gray response ranging from 5ms to 1ms depending on the setting. Using the dedicated Esports profile brings response time down to 0.5ms MPRT.
Adaptive sync and gaming features
The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync, aimed at reducing screen tearing and stuttering. Lenovo has also added an on-screen crosshair, a refresh rate indicator, and a dark-area enhancement mode that makes details in shadows more visible.
Color and connectivity
The Legion 34W-2C delivers 10-bit color depth via 8-bit + FRC technology, covering 99 percent of the sRGB gamut and 95 percent of DCI-P3. Color settings can be adjusted through Lenovo's LADM software, and the monitor includes hardware-level low blue light technology. It carries Eyesafe 2.0 and TUV Rheinland certifications, and uses DC dimming to reduce flicker.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 FRL ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port, both capable of driving the full 3440 x 1440 resolution at 240Hz. The stand offers 135mm of height adjustment, 30 degrees of swivel in each direction, and a tilt range of -5 to 22 degrees, and the monitor supports 100 x 100mm VESA mounting for third-party arms.
