Former La Bella Luz owner Óscar Custodio has suggested that video evidence submitted by former singer Naldy Saldaña in an improper touching complaint was edited. The complaint was filed against César Sánchez Chavesta, the orchestra's former music director.
Custodio addressed the allegations during a press conference held alongside his wife, his son Óscar Junior, and current members of La Bella Luz. Custodio recently resigned as owner of the musical group and transferred leadership of the organization to his son.
Improper touching allegations and camera footage
Saldaña previously made public video evidence showing how she was allegedly touched by Sánchez Chavesta while working with the group. Custodio spoke about the video while stating that he holds security camera footage documenting two visits Saldaña made to his private residence.
Custodio said he intends to submit the security camera records to authorities, claiming that portions of the video released by Saldaña may have been edited. He stated that the review of the footage is now in the hands of the judicial system.
Audio recording presented on Magaly TV show
The business executive also discussed an audio recording that Saldaña aired on the television program Magaly TV: la firme, hosted by Magaly Medina. The recording captured a conversation between Saldaña and Custodio in which the singer confronted him about the former music director's conduct.
Custodio said Saldaña recorded their discussion on the first day she visited his home. He stated that he did not know whether she had the legal right to record the conversation, adding that courts will determine whether the audio was obtained within the framework of the law.
