Gina Carano says Elon Musk ‘is kind of Batman’ for using his money for a ‘noble cause’

As you know, Gina Carano sued Disney and Lucasfilm for being fired The Mandalorian for sharing a series of controversial posts on social media. Elon Musk is financially supporting her lawsuit in which she seeks damages for her lost job and a court order to get her role as Rebel Ranger, Cara Dune, back.

Carano’s character was set to become a major part of the Star Wars franchise and would star in a series titled Rangers of the New Republic, which ended up being scrapped after being fired.

At the time of her firing, Disney released a statement saying that Carano’s social media posts “[denigrated] people based on their cultural and religious identities”, describing them as “abominable and unacceptable”.

During a recent interview with The Post Millennial, Carano opened up about the cause, sharing that she believes it’s important not just to her, but to the greater good. He also goes on to describe Musk as “kind of Batman” for using his money for a “noble cause.”

“I’m happy that people are going to have to really dig in and take my situation seriously, and they’re going to have to understand, as they look at all this, what their company was doing. And so on considering that they’re going to have to make adjustments so that it’s going to be much harder for that to happen to the next person, and that’s why what I’m doing matters.

“A lot of people, billionaires, put their money where their mouth is, but putting your money into defending people who have been wronged is a really noble cause. It’s like Elon Musk is some kind of Batman.”

She later addressed her decision to add “beep/boop” to her social media accounts, which offended the trans community. She said:

“I was like, what’s the least offensive thing you could ever do? And it’s like, it’s the least offensive thing. And then and then, you know, if there were so many aggressive people like trolls, bots, haters, and probably a lot of misguided young people who they love to bully.

“And so when someone would say something mean to me I would just go ‘beep boop’ because I feel like that was basically the nicest thing. You see all these other, you know, a lot of my male co-stars would get aggressive at these people and I mean some things and I’m like, here making fun of people. And I’m the one who gets fired?”

The site then mentioned Disney’s move to have the case dismissed, and Carano’s response was, “We’re all pretty confident that this isn’t going to be something that they’re going to be able to dismiss.”

The initial lawsuit reads: “A short time ago, in a galaxy not so distant, defendants made clear that only an orthodoxy in thought, word, or deed was acceptable in their empire, and that those who dared to question or they failed to respond fully comply would not be tolerated. And so it was with Carano.”

The wrongful termination and sex discrimination charge adds: “The rule of law still reigns over the defendants’ empire… and Carano has returned to demand that they be held accountable for their bullying, discriminatory and retaliatory actions – actions that have inflicted not only substantial emotional consequences.” damages, but millions of dollars in lost earnings.”
