Matthew Lillard he kicked off his career in the first He shouted movie (1996). He had appeared in a few movies before, like Serial mom AND Crazy Lovebut it was He shouted which launched him to stardom. Lillard went on to star in many films and TV shows such as She is all that, Scooby-Doo (both live-action and animated), The descendantsand many voice acting roles in animated shows and films, including the start of his most recent horror franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s.
When it comes to deciding whether Lillard can ever return to… He shouted franchise like his character Stu Macher, it has long been debated whether or not Stu was officially killed off in the first film. He wasn’t shot in the head, as his accomplice was, so some fans said there was hope. Others noted the fact that Lillard made an uncredited appearance Screams 2 as a partygoer in the background of a scene, and although some took this as a sign, the filmmakers attributed it to the fact that the actor visited the set one day and did not actually reprise his role. The creators of the franchise had long ago discarded the idea of Stu returning, but now the time has come Screams 7 fell apart due to actors leaving the project shortly before it was made, some are wondering if a Hail Mary play could bring both Stu and the original fans back to the franchise.
Lillard weighed whether he would be willing to do so, having hesitated on the idea in the past. He explained to FearHQ.com:
“I don’t know. Listen, this town in this day and age, and at my age, I’ve had a great career. I got to second base and I’m heading home. That’s a baseball analogy. We’re on time recovery is a nice analogy to football in the UK. It’s something I’m very proud of. I’m happy that it’s in my life and in my repertoire. I’m happy that it’s part of my history and my lineage. “It would make a lot of sense go back as history and as directors. I’m really excited to be involved in Five Nights at Freddy’s, which was a huge success and was the third franchise of my career, which I didn’t know.” I don’t expect that. I’m more excited about the upside and the future of this thing than going back to doing something I’ve done before. That said, we’ll see what happens. Nobody called me [Laughs]. I’ll tell you this. No one seems interested in Stu’s return except the fans. The fans are going crazy and loving the idea, and I would say if you throw a TV at my head, I will survive. So here you go!”
So you’re saying there’s a chance! I think it would be fun to see him come back. He was great in the first movie and I think he could fit into a later Scream movie Five Nights at Freddy’s concerts. What do you think? Would you like to see Lillard return to the franchise?
