A sequel to the BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE football series hanging out with Alan Ritchson

The cult college football series of 2010 Blue Mountain State could return to prominence with a series of sequels. The project is currently in the shopping and shopping phase Reacher star Alan Ritchson is set to reprise his role as Kevin “Thad” Castle. Co-stars of the original series Darin Brooks AND Chris Romano they are also expected to reprise their roles.

The project has been pitched at Lionsgate TV and it’s explained that the show could land on Amazon, where Ritchson stars in the hit series Reacher. Netflix is ​​also on the table because that’s where Blue Mountain State found new audiences after its three-season original series on Spike TV.

The series was created by Chris Romano AND Eric Falconer, who will return to develop the sequel. There was also a follow-up film released in 2016, funded by a Kickstarter campaign. The sequel was titled Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland.

Blue Mountain State is about a fictional university and its football team, the Mountain Goats. The story centers on three new freshmen played by Brooks, Ritchson and Romano, “who must quickly adapt to college life and juggle football, girls, classes and non-stop hazing. Ritchson’s Kevin ‘Thad’ Castle was the captain of the BMS football team, always an inspiration.”
