Bad Girls: The Musical was released in theaters in January and was very successful among fans of the original film. The new musical version was based on the Broadway musical, adapted from the 2004 film, based on the book Queen bees and aspirants Of Rosalind Wiseman. The new film had some cultural updates, new jokes, songs and scenes, and cut some scenes that completed the story, but were known quite well by fans of the franchise.
The directors of the musical, Samantha Jayne AND Arturo Perez Jr., recently sat down with ComicBook to talk about what they’d like to do next, and said they want to take on an adaptation of one of the biggest Broadway hits of all time. Perez Jr. explained:
“Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton. We’ll shout it from the treetops like he would. But unless maybe Lin wants to direct it, but… That would be amazing. It would be an amazing thing, too. But if he does… I don’t want to direct it … Let’s not throw away our chance.”
I think it would be nice if Lin-Manuel Miranda he directed the adaptation of Hamilton, but either way, I’d love to see a movie version. I’m a big fan of musicals, and I think a movie would do very well at the box office, just the same Evil it is expected.
You would like to see Hamilton adapted for the big screen?
