Magnolia Pictures has released a funny trailer for a deadpan, awkward comedy titled Terrible Carter. Movie stars David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) as a university professor who is suddenly told that he has six months to live, and so tends to become a terrible man-child.
The story follows: “An evil literature professor adrift on a soulless college campus who discovers he has only six months to live. As time goes by, will he change his ways? Probably not… Little man Lousy Carter struggles to complete his animated adaptation of Nabokov, teaches a graduate seminar on the Great Gatsby, and sleeps with his best friend’s wife.
The film comes from the writer and director Bob Byington (Somebody Up There Likes Me, Infinity Baby, Frances Ferguson), and is also the protagonist Martin Starr, Olivia Thirlby, Jocelyn DeBoer, Macon BlairAND Stefano Radice.
The film will be released in theaters and on VOD on March 29, 2024.
