Dresses: LA added a new cast member… Walking Dead star Josh McDermitt will star in the spin-off alongside the previously announced Arrow star Stefano Amell. McDermitt played Eugene Porter Walking Dead Series.
In Dresses: LA, McDermitt will play a character named Stuart Lane, who is described as an energetic, powerful and self-centered person, co-founder of the Black Lane Law. It seems like a suitable role for the actor.
The new series sees Amell take on the role of Ted Black, a former New York federal prosecutor who founded a law firm in Los Angeles, Black Lane Law, specializing in criminal and entertainment law. “His company is at crisis point and to survive he must embrace a role he has despised his entire career. Ted is surrounded by an all-star group of characters who test their loyalty to both Ted and each other as they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is happening as events from years ago that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved are slowly revealed.
The series is produced by David Bartis, Doug Liman, Gene Klein AND Victoria Mahoney with Mahoney set to direct the pilot.
Speaking previously about the new series, Universal International Studios and UCP president Beatrice Springborn, said the show will be set “in the same time frame” as the flagship series. She also promised that it “will have the same energy and great people as the original.”
