Warner Bros. has released the full trailer for Kevin Costneris the upcoming western epic Horizon: An American Saga. This is a four part saga and this first film looks absolutely stunning! I’m a huge fan of westerns and it looks like this is going to be an amazing western! This trailer worked and made me feel excited and excited for what this movie will offer.
Costner said of the trailer: “The trailers were always my favorite part, even as a kid going to the movies. Obviously you’re there to see the movie you want, but isn’t it nice when you see what’s coming? …And with that in mind, I’ve done my best to lay out what will be a four-part saga.
Horizon: An American Saga chronicles “a multifaceted 15-year arc of expansion and settlement of the American West before and after the Civil War. Experienced through the eyes of many, the epic journey is filled with danger and intrigue, from the constant assault of the natural elements to interactions with the indigenous people who lived on the land and the determination and, in many cases, ruthlessness of those who sought to colonize it. .”
Costner went on to talk about the audience’s experience with this film, saying, “Can they, in a way, feel like themselves in this film? Because that’s what I want people to feel in the dark [it] suddenly he absorbs them. We all know what happens when the lights go out: something good, something mediocre, or something great. What I hope is that this is something that stays with them forever.”
Costner had already spoken about the story saying: “It’s a really beautiful story; it’s a difficult story. It really involves a lot of women, to be honest. There are a lot of men too, but the women are really strong in Horizon. It’s just them trying to survive every day in an incredibly harsh world. They often were [dragged] in these places because that is where men wanted to go; women followed their men. They didn’t ask to be in these unstable and dangerous territories, and life wasn’t easy. I chose to make sure it was really obvious, that it wasn’t easy and how vulnerable people were.
The film also has a great cast including Siena Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell Bower, Luke Wilson, Thomas Haden Church, Jena Malone, Michael Rocker, Alessandro Edda, Will Patton,AND Tatanka means.
Coster has a total of four films planned in this saga. The first two films will have a double theatrical release. The first film will be released on June 28, 2024, while the second will debut a couple of months later, on August 16, 2024.
