Things are moving (very) slowly, but surely, towards Community sequel to the series, Community: the film. Just last week, star Donald Glover revealed that the script is finished, and with that being said, Glover only gave us a taste of what the story will be about. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter to promote his next film Mr. and Mrs. Smith series coming to Amazon, Glover teased some new details about the upcoming Community movie story, saying:
“Yes, [Dan Harmon] he told me what he wanted and I thought, “That sounds great.” It’s a college reunion, but Abed [Danny Pudi’s character] he’s like this great director now, and basically this is his magnum opus. I say, ‘He looks damn tight.'”
It’s not a lot of information, but it’s fun to keep going! And it makes sense. I think they’ll make a fun movie out of it, and it’ll be great to see the old gang together again.
Glover will be joined in the film by other co-stars Joel McHale as Jeff Winger, Danny Pudi as Abed Nadir; Alison Brie as Annie Edison; Gillian Jacobs as Britta Perry; Jim Rash as Principal Pelton; AND Ken Jeong as Ben Chang. We still don’t know for sure if Yvette Nicole Brown will be back. Keith David he is also expected to reprise his role as Elroy Patashnik.
