Julianne Moore stars in scandalous trailer for STARZ historical drama series MARY & GEORGE

STARZ has released a wild new trailer for their upcoming historical drama series, Mary and George. It is based on a true and scandalous story and features a protagonist Juliana Moore as Mary Villiers, Nicola Galitzine as George Villiers, with Tony Curran, Laura Davidson, Nicola Walker, Niamh Algar, Trine Dyrholm, Sean Gilder, Adrian RawlinsAND Mark O’Happelloran as Sir Francis.

The show’s synopsis reads:

Mary & George is a bold historical psychodrama miniseries starring Academy Award winner Julianne Moore as Mary Villiers, Countess of Buckingham, and Nicholas Galitzine as George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham, about a mother and son traitors who plotted, seduced and killed. conquer the Court of England and the bed of King James I.

Mary and George is a new series created by the British playwright DC Moorewho wrote previously Not safe for work, Kill EveAND Temple. The story is adapted from Benjamin Woolley’s book, originally titled “The King’s Assassin: The Secret Plot to Murder King James.” Contains episodes directed by Florian Cossen, Alex Winckler and Oliver Hermanus (Shirley Adams, Life).
