An indispensable thing for those with curls (or those who practice the “curly” method of washing their hair) is a diffuser. This is a round mouth for a large diameter hair dryer with circular teeth. When using a diffuser, the hair does not turn into frizz and the curls become more defined and voluminous. However, not every hair dryer has a head and choosing it separately can sometimes cause problems. What to do in this situation?
To start, do your usual styling: wash your hair with shampoo, apply conditioner along the length of your hair with squeezing movements, remove excess moisture with a towel, apply spray and styling product to the strands. Then comes the most interesting part. If you don’t have a diffuser, use a colander or metal sieve and gently place your hair into it. Bring the hair dryer to the back and start drying your strands. Be careful; Hot air can heat the metal device, so you need to hold it by the handles.
If you find yourself without a diffuser while traveling and don’t have any utensils on hand, the best thing you can do is to let your strands dry on their own without touching them. Or try one of the ways to curl your hair without a curling iron that we wrote here.
