Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones will star in the Clint Bentley-adapted drama TRAIN DREAMS

Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby, The present) AND Felicity Jones (The theory of everything, Rogue One) will be the protagonists of the next dramatic film Dream trainfrom Horse rider director Clint Bentleywho will direct the film from a screenplay he adapted Greg Kwedar (Sing Sing). The story is an adaptation of Denis Johnson’s Novel nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. Damien Ober he did an earlier draft.

“The picture tells the story of Robert Grainier (Edgerton), a day laborer employed as a lumberjack who helps expand railroads across America. Forced to spend long periods of time away from his wife Gladys (Jones) and their young daughter, Grainier struggles to make sense of his place in a rapidly changing world. As his story unfolds, he experiences great love, unspeakable loss, and unique bonds, on a journey that is both distinct and universal.

Bentley is achieving great success with his directorial debut, Horse riderwhich won the Sundance U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Best Actor and the 2021 AFI Fest Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature and was released theatrically by Sony Pictures Classics. Dream train marks the latest in a long line of collaborations between Bentley and his creative partner Kwedar, who also wrote and produced Horse rider. Most recently, the pair wrote the screenplay for Black Bear Sing Singhero Colman Domingowhich will open at SXSW in March before hitting theaters via A24.
