A24 has released a new trailer for Kristen Stewartis the upcoming romantic, violent and unbridled revenge thriller Love lies bleeding.
In the film, Stewart plays a lonely gym manager named Lou who falls in love with Jackie (Katy M. O’Brianfrom Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The Mandalorian), “an ambitious bodybuilder headed across town to Las Vegas to chase her dream. But their love sparks violence, drawing them into the network of Lou’s crime family.
Lou’s father, played by Ed Harris, is the head of a criminal organization. As you’ll see, things turn into violent, bloody chaos. The film is also the protagonist Jena Malone (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) AND Dave Franco (Now you see Me).
Corrin’s Sundance review of the film says: “Love lies bleeding he exaggerates in every way, sometimes to the point of comedy. There are some great elements that made me roll my eyes and question the intended tone of some scenes. But despite some mistakes, this highly stylistic, extremely violent and sometimes unpleasantly sexy film is a tragic love story worth watching.”
The film was directed by Pink glass (Saint Maud) from a screenplay he collaborated on Weronika Tofilska. The film will be released on March 8, 2024.
