Lonsgate is longstanding Saw the horror franchise will continue I saw XI AND I saw X director Kevin Greutert is returning to the franchise to lead it. Greutert also directed both I saw VI in 2009 and later Saw: the final chapter in 2010, which of course was really the final chapter. He has also directed horror films Jessabelle in 2014 and Jackals most recently in 2017.
No details about the film have been revealed, but I liked the story I saw X which told an interesting story set between the events of the first and second Saw movie.
The authors of the last three films, Puzzle, Spiral: from the Book of SawAND I saw XI won’t go back to writing I saw XI. Josh Stolberg AND Pete Goldfinger said they will hand the reins over to a new writing team. Stolberg said: “Pete and I are closing this chapter. I’m very excited to see it as a fan of the franchise. I think people will be happy with the team.”
It will be interesting to see if the creative team of this film will be able to come up with a fresh and unique new story. Good luck to them!
