Emmy-winning actor Donald Glover (Community, Atlanta, Solo) has long been a fan of the Spider-Man franchise. Glover wore a web-slinger-inspired outfit in his series Community, and early in his career he made an offer to play Spider-Man. Then he appeared as Miles Morales’ Uncle Aaron in a cameo role in the 2017 Marvel film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. As for whether or not we’ll see him appear in another Spider-Man role, the actor hinted at the idea in a recent interview with Vanity Fair alongside his Mr. and Mrs. Smith Co-star of the Prime series Maya Erskinewhere he said:
“There will definitely be a live-action Miles Morales eventually, and I think they’ll probably be more worried about me playing Prowler in that or something. I’m too old to be Spider-Man now.”
There are a few different directions the Prowler character has been taken in the comics, so the (mostly) occasional villain/hero could easily be used in a fun way in a live-action Miles Morales movie. What do you think? Would you like to see Glover play the part of Prowler or something else in the Miles Morales/Spider-Man universe?
