The nominations for the 44th Razzie Award have arrived and SHAZAM! THE FURY OF THE GODS Domina

The full list of nominations for the 2024 Razzies Awards has been announced, and the nominations are led by DC Shazam! The fury of the gods and Marvel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania!

The Razzies, or Golden Raspberry Awards, are an annual mock awards ceremony that recognizes the worst films of the year in a humorous way. This year Shazam! The fury of the gods got a nomination for “worst film”, with Mrs Helen Mirren be nominated for “worst actress” e Lucia Liu among those in the running for “Worst Supporting Actress”. The film is also in the running for “worst screenplay”.

As for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Michael Douglas AND Bill Murray they are both in the running for “worst supporting actor”, while Peyton Reed he was nominated for “worst director”. The film is also up for “Worst Prequel, Remake, Copycat, or Sequel” category. I’m surprised it wasn’t nominated for “worst screenplay” because the screenplay was horrible.

Nomination results were determined by votes from Razzie members (1,179 “movie fans”, film critics and journalists from 49 US states and two dozen foreign countries). The 44th annual Razzie “winners” will be revealed on the now traditional Oscars Eve, Saturday, March 9.
