Disney+ has released the trailer and a poster for the third and final season of Star Wars: The Ugly Lot! The trailer reveals the return of a surprising character I didn’t expect to see! Fan-favorite character Asajj Ventress is back. This is a big deal because she supposedly died in the 2015 novel Star Wars: The Dark Disciplethat was created from a story intended for a non-product Star Wars Battle of the Clones episode. This trailer is sure to get fans excited for what’s in store for Season 3!
Ventress is a former Sith assassin and apprentice to Count Dooku and, in the book, becomes close to Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos. When Ventress dies, Quinlan buries her in the waters of her homeworld of Dathomir, home of the Nightsisters. So perhaps the necromantic energies on that planet could resurrect Ventress. Or maybe it’s simply Dave Filoni modifying the previously established canon to meet the needs of the story he wants to tell.
