Here’s a trailer for a creepy looking and twisted Mexican indie horror film titled Disappear completely. The film centers on a crime photographer, who falls victim to a mysterious illness after visiting a horrific crime scene. The disease causes him to lose his five senses one after the other. It looks like the movie will have some seriously disturbing moments!
In the film, “Santiago Mendoza is the best crime photographer in Mexico City, but his profession has made him insensitive and incapable of affection towards his wife Marcela. One night, Santiago hears an emergency call and, despite the police’s warnings, infiltrates a disturbing crime scene. Shortly thereafter he begins to suffer from a mysterious illness that causes him to lose, one by one, his five senses. Without knowing what’s wrong with him or why, Santiago must find a solution to this affliction before the world he knows disappears completely.
The film was directed by Luis Javier Henaine (Happy moments and ready to socialize), who said: “‘Desaparecer por Completo’ is my third feature film, moving from comedy to exploring new territory with a supernatural thriller that delves into two very important aspects of Mexican culture: Nota Roja (crime tabloid journalism) and Brujeria (Witchcraft) – both reflect my country through our superstitions and the lack of sensitivity we are used to in our daily lives. Although, ultimately, the film is a very intimate and personal drama about a photographer with artistic ambitions, who she struggles to find a balance between her career and her marriage, taking “life” for granted.
Movie stars Harold Torres like Santiago, with Tete Espinoza, Fermin Martínez, Vicky AraicoAND Norma Regina. The film will be released in Mexico in March, but does not currently have a U.S. release date.
