Kingpin actor Vincenzo D’Onofrio offered an update on Marvel Daredevil: Born Again, which has undergone a major overhaul with a new creative team. During an interview with Collider, the actor offered an update on the project, and it sounds like it Charlie Cox they are happy with how things are going. He said:
“We’re having a really good time right now. We’re getting back on our feet. We’ll start soon, hopefully sooner rather than later, and Charlie [Cox] and I feel like the atmosphere is right.”
D’Onofrio went on to say that he believes they are in the “right place” and shared some of his other favorite Marvel shows that have been released, saying:
“I think all the powers out there that control the entire creative world of the MCU also believe that we’re in the right place right now… I have to say, it’s really fortunate. I mean, my favorite series so far have been there. It was Moon Knight and Loki, and we have those guys as directors, and so it’s a real blessing. And we have Dario [Scardapane], who is an incredible writer who wrote The Punisher. We’re in a very happy place right now.”
Daredevil: Born Again is currently under development by the administrators Justin Benson AND Aaron Moorheadwho worked on both Knight of the Moon AND Loki. Dario Scardapanewho worked on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan as well as Netflix’s Marvel show The Punisher, is the showrunner of the series. Speaking previously about the overhaul, D’Onofrio said:
“Every interesting project I’ve been involved in has constantly evolved through pre-production, production and post. These days it’s just reported as if it’s big news. It’s not. It’s simply a group of creatives doing their thing better to get it right. It’s a constant in this business. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Frankly, I’d be worried if we settled for less. We’ll put out the best series we can. One we can be proud of. Have a little faith, my friend , have faith.”
Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox will next appear as Kingpin and Daredevil Echoand this will lead to Daredevil: Born Again.
