Letterboxd has released its list of the 10 best movies of 2023, based on ratings from the app’s users. There are many different movies here and at the top of the list is Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. I loved that movie and it ended up on my top 10 favorite movies list. It was an incredibly fun movie that told a great superhero story, which is something studios are struggling to do these days.

There are a few movies on this list that I haven’t actually seen yet, including Past lives, monsterAND Perfect days. I’ll have to watch those movies and see what I’m missing. The other films listed here that didn’t make my year-end favorites list simply didn’t strike me as they did with other film fans. But there is something for everyone!
