34 years ago, Tetris was released on the NES, and after all this time, a 13-year-old teenager known as Blue Scuti is the first person to actually finish the game! It’s really amazing and it’s so fun to watch his reaction as he wins the game!
Unlike other versions of Tetris, this version has no official ending sequence or end goal to achieve. To beat him, you have to keep playing until the game crashes when you reach certain conditions. One of these includes a single line completion at level 157, which has a 73.33% chance of crashing the game.
This is exactly what Blu Scuti managed to do. He beat Tetris breaking it. Why TetrisThe kill screen only activates under certain conditions, in theory you can continue playing indefinitely as long as you avoid these conditions.
There is a more impressive way to beat Tetris, Although. That is, not getting the kill screen at all and crashing the game. If a player manages to reach level 255, the game will return to level 1, which is considered the truest ending. But this has only been accomplished by tool-assisted speedrun creators.
Anyway, check out the video below and enjoy Blue Scuti’s reaction when he hits the kill screen. The video also offers an in-depth explanation of how this all works.
