I didn’t see it coming! During Policlinico: 60 years of stars and stories Special, Steve Burton seemed to announce his return to the long-running soap opera. The 53-year-old stepped out with his co-stars. Laura Wright AND Kelly Monaco.
In the final moments of the special, a series of doors appeared. Laura came out and said, “You know what they say…when a door closes.” Kelly walked through another door and added, “Another door opens.”
Suddenly, the central door opened. Steve walked through the door wearing Jason’s signature leather jacket. “Happy birthday, Polyclinic“, he began. “Be careful. Big things are coming to Port Charles.

One day before announcing his Polyclinic Upon returning, Steve revealed that he was leaving. days of our lives. “Oh! Well, I just shot my final scenes here days of our lives and I just want to say thank you so much to the cast. [and] for the crew. “It was amazing,” Steve said in a video posted to YouTube.
He thanked his fans for all their support. “I am always very grateful. So thank you. Stay tuned,” said the actor, who played Harris Michaels on the soap opera.
Steve returns to the Polyclinic role that made him famous. The 53-year-old began playing Jason Morgan on the ABC soap opera in 1991. He was dropped. Polyclinic in 2021 during the vaccination mandate.
“Unfortunately, Polyclinic “He fired me because of mandatory vaccination,” he said at the time. “I applied for medical and religious exemptions and were denied both. Which, as we know, hurts. But for me this also has to do with personal freedom. “I don’t think anyone should lose their livelihood because of this.”
He continued: “But that being said, I will always be grateful for the time I spent here Polyclinic. I love it there. I grew up there. I grew up with some of you, so I will always be grateful.”
In his statement, Steve noted that “when one door closes, several doors open. This has always been my perspective. So I’m excited to see what the future holds and maybe one day, if these mandates are lifted, I can come back and finish my career like Jason Morgan. It would be an honour. And if not, I will enjoy this incredible experience, move on, and be eternally grateful. Just 3 years later, Steve calls it quits and returns as Jason Morgan.
