The first trailer for the next horror film The Omen titled has been released The first omen. It looks like he will tell another dark and disturbing story about the birth of evil. It serves as a prequel to the classic horror franchise.
In the film, “When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil . incarnate.”
The first omen stars Nell Tiger free (Servant), Tawfeek Barhom (Mary Magdalene), Sonia Braga (The Kiss of the Spider Woman), Ralph Ineson (The Witch, Onyx the Fortuitous), AND Bill Nighy (Life).
The film is directed by Arkasha Stevensonbased on characters created by David Seltzer (The omen), with a history of Ben Jacoby (To bleed) and a screenplay written by Tim Smith AND Arkasha Stevenson AND Keith Thomas (Fire starter). The producers are David S. Goyer (Man of Steel) AND Keith Levine (The House of Night) and the executive producers are Tim Smith, Whitney Brown (Rosalina), AND Gracie Wheelan.
The original 1978 film scared the living daylights out of me when I first saw it as a kid. The nanny who hanged herself at Damien’s party will haunt me forever. That film was followed by three sequels, including the 1978 one Damien: Omen II and 1981 The final conflictas well as the 2006 reboot. There was also a short run Damian TV series.
The film comes from 20th Century Studios and will be released in theaters on April 5, 2024.
