Gripping trailer for Hulu docuseries DAUGHTERS OF THE CULT about the extremist Mormon sect leader and his surviving daughters

ABC News Studios has teamed up with Hulu to bring us the docuseries Daughters of the cultwhich follows the daughters of an extremist Mormon sect leader who fled the group and is ready to share their story.

Daughters of the Cult “is a shocking five-episode dive into the history of Ervil LeBaron’s polygamous cult, told directly through the eyes of the people who were there. Hidden in plain sight throughout the Southwest and Mexico, a splinter group of members of a fundamentalist Mormon sect have perpetrated a deadly wave of violence and abuse for decades in the name of their fanatic prophet Ervil LeBaron, nicknamed the “Mormon Manson.” . Survivors, relatives of the killers and law enforcement now come forward to paint an emotional and macabre picture of a brutal madman ordering cold-blooded executions. Despite being on the run from the FBI for most of their young lives, there is triumph, healing and sisterhood for the brave few who escape the cult and start over.”

This looks like a fascinating new look at another extremist Mormon sect run by a psychopath, but with a crazy new twist, which is that this guy was murdering anyone who got in his way. It’s great to see that the adult children who fled are now able to tell their story and face what was done to them.
