The film is set on both Earth and Mars and tells the whimsical story of the Martians, who are worried about their children’s lack of joy and happiness, so they decide to kidnap Santa Claus from Earth to bring Christmas cheer to their planet.
The film features a colorful cast of characters, including Kimar, the Martian leader, and his bumbling crew, as well as a pair of Earth children who stow away clandestinely on the Martian spaceship. Together, they embark on a delightful and sometimes absurd adventure, full of fun encounters and festive spirit.
The film’s production value and special effects are ridiculously dated, and the dialogue is ridiculously campy, but it’s one of those dark films that has a certain charm that appeals to a certain audience.
