“Leave The World Behind” is Netflix’s most watched title for the second time.  “My Life with the Walter Boys” takes over television

Audiences continue to flock to Netflix’s new apocalyptic thriller Leave the world behind.

The film directed by Sam Esmail got another 44.9 million views on the streamer in its second week from December 11 to 17. The film was another chart-topper, easily recording another week as Netflix’s most-watched title.

Add that to the 41.7 million views the film got in its debut week, and it looks like Netflix has a home run. It is too early to say if this is the case Leave the world behind will claim a spot on the most popular movie list, but it’s entirely possible if the momentum continues over the holiday season. The film has until March to top it all off Withdrawal 2134 million views during its 91-day premiere period. So basically, the viewership would have to fall off a cliff before it would be dropped from the list of most popular films.

Leave the world behindThe film’s performance is also highlighted by the fact that the number 2 film is the new animated film Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, got 11.9 million views (which is still pretty good in any other week). Also in films, Adam Sandler’s animated comedy Lion in third place with 9.4 million views, Family change number 4 with 9.4 million views and The Super Mario Bros. Movie number 5 with 8.9 million views.

On the TV side, viewers are currently trying to decide whether they are Team Alex or Team Cole in Netflix’s latest youth series My life with the Walter Boys took the internet by storm.

The coming-of-age drama picked up an additional 12.8 million views in its first full week of availability, after racking up more than 7 million views in its debut weekend on the platform. According to Netflix, the series is currently in the top 10 in 88 countries.

The crown Season 6 climbed back to number 2 thanks to the release of its final episodes after falling to number 6 last week. The final season had 5.8 million views.

Deleted fell from the top spot to #3 this week, while Squid game: the challenge Stick with #5.

In the non-English TV space, Netflix debuted following the success of a new live-action manga adaptation One piece. Yu Yu Hakusho struck a nerve with 7.7 million views and debuted at the top of the non-English TV charts.
