Jack Axelrod is dead: The “General Hospital”, “Modern Family” and “Transformers” actor was 93

Jack Axelrod, the actor who played the role of Victor Jerome General Hospital, died. He was 93.

According to multiple reports, Axelrod died of natural causes in Los Angeles on November 28.

Axelrod appeared in 40 episodes of the ABC soap between 1987 and 1989. He has guest appearances in it before Kojak (1977), Hill Street Blues (1984), Dallas (1983), The judge (1986), dynasty (1987), Outlaws (1987) and night court (1989).

“I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with him during his final years as he had no immediate family,” spokeswoman Jennifer Garland told EW in a statement. “We spent a lot of time outside, where Jack enjoyed drawing, reading news articles and reciting Shakespearean sonnets.”
