George Clooney has a fun update for fans of Ocean 11 film trilogy. Sixteen years have passed since then Ocean 13 was released in theaters. We saw the female guide Ocean’s 8 in theaters five years ago, which tied into the franchise, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen the original cast together on screen. Now it looks like we might see them reunite for another heist.
In a recent interview with Uproxx while promoting his film The boys on the boatthe actor revealed that it is a script for someone else Of the ocean there is a film that would reunite the cast of the original trilogy for a follow-up film set Ocean 13. Clooney said:
“We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we might end up doing another one. It’s actually a fantastic script.
When asked if the script was about potential Ocean 14Clooney responded:
“Well… I don’t want to call it that… I mean, the idea is a bit like ‘Going in Style.’”
which Clooney is referring to Martin Brest 1979 heist comedy with a famous protagonist George Burns, Art Carney, Lee Strasberg AND Charles Hallahan. Zach Braff remade the film in 2017 with a cast present Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine AND Alan Arkin. The plot centers on three elderly people who team up to carry out a robbery.
The original Of the ocean trilogy, directed by Steven Soderberghfeatured Clooney in front Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Casey Affleck and more in what made a great ensemble. Two cast members are no longer alive, but it would be nice to see the others reunite. I love all those movies and it would be great to see them have another adventure.
