Here’s a trailer for an upcoming supernatural horror film titled Sackheadwhat stars Freya Allen (The witcher). The story centers on a shape-shifting creature that can transform into death and, of course, Allen’s character brings her out and that takes her on a nightmarish journey. This sounds like a really creepy and unique story! I’m excited to watch it!
In the film: “After the death of her estranged father, Iris (Allan) discovers she has inherited a centuries-old, dilapidated pub. She travels to Berlin to identify her father’s body and meet the lawyer (Ned Dennehy) to discuss her ownership. Little does she know that once she signs the deed, she will become inextricably linked to an unspeakable entity that resides in the basement of the pub. Baghead: A shapeshifting creature that can turn dead. Two thousand dollars in cash for two minutes with the creature is all that desperate loved ones need to ease their pain. Neil (Jeremy Irvine), who lost his wife, is Iris’s first client. As her father, Iris is tempted to harness the creature’s powers and help desperate people for a fee. But she discovers that breaking the two-minute rule can have terrifying consequences. Together with her best friend Katie (Ruby Barker), Iris must fight for control of Baghead and figure out how to destroy her before she destroys them.”
The film is based on a short film directed by Alberto Corredor, who also directed the feature film. Roy Lee (It, The Ring, The Grudge, The Turning, Godzilla) is an executive producer and also stars in the film Ruby Barker, Ned Dennehy, Peter Mullan, Jeremy Irvine, Saffron BurrowsAND Svenja Jung. The screenplay is written by Cristina Pamies AND Bryce McGuire.
Studiocanal will release the film internationally in theaters in January 2024, exact date TBD.
