Clothes Creator Aaron Korsh has returned to work to create the new legal spin-off series based in Los Angeles. Some new details have been released about the upcoming series via Universal International Studios and UCP president Beatrice Springborn. She announced that the new show will be set “in the same time frame” as the flagship series. She also promised that it “will have the same energy and great people as the original.”
“We’re working on it right now,” Springborn told the audience at British industry conference Content London, referring to the show as It fits Los Angeles. “He’s so fun and happy.” (A source told Variety It fits Los Angeles is not the official title of the show).
Springborn, which joined Universal in 2020 from Hulu, explained that returning series like Clothes they were attractive to buyers. “A lot of streamers are looking for ongoing series, things that are easy to watch,” she said. “Our show Clothes is incredibly huge on Netflix.
“It’s great to see people dressed beautifully, but ultimately you can’t have a successful show with just that,” Springborn explained. “It has to have great storytelling and great character work. So how do you make something that can be ongoing, give it a shine and be an ongoing series that everyone wants?
Clothes it was a fantastic series. With the original creator on board, I can’t wait to see what this next series has in store. Will you be tuning in to watch?
