David Harbor talks about the complex relationship between Red Guardian and Yelena in THUNDERBOLTS

Red Guardian Actor Davide Porto recently talked about Marvel Lightning film, particularly regarding the complex relationship between his character Red Guardian and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova.

The actor has previously spoken about the couple’s “fun and complex” relationship, but in a recent interview with ScreenRant, Harbor offered some further insight, saying:

“So they have a lot of unexplored history. There are a lot of details that the director, Jake, has explored very carefully, about what their life was like in the Midwest when they were doing all that spy stuff. And then, a lot of that comes out in really fun ways. , interesting and beautiful, which, like in the movie Black Widow, led to that song, American Pie. And there’s a lot of complexity between me and the character of Florence, which I love.

“And also they’re two people who… she can’t stand him, but she needs someone because she’s incomplete in a way and he could help her. I think that’s always so beautiful. Because I feel like our relationships are always like that. .. Sometimes we can’t choose the people who complete us. The people we really need. I think they exemplify that in their own way. It’ll be fun to bring that to life in the movie.”

Harbor had previously spoken about Red Guardian’s emotional relationship with Yelena, saying: “I mean, I think we would have gone and then I think they wanted the opportunity to change some things.
