The creator of Marvel Loki series, Michele Waldronhe was officially hired to write Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Waldron was already set to write Avengers: Secret Wars, so it seems logical that he would also write the film leading up to that.
Waldron not only worked on Loki for Marvel, but also wrote the screenplay for Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness. Kevin Feige seems to really rust Waldon since he even hired the writer to write his now-scrapped Star Wars movie.
Sam Raimi was recently rumored to be a possible director for the next two Avengers films Destin Daniel Cretton abandoned. Raimi also has experience working with Waldron with Doctor Strange Continuation. Maybe they’ll team up again.
When previous screenwriter Jeff Loveness left the project, it was reported that Marvel Studios was moving away from the entire Kang the Conqueror storyline. If this is indeed the case, then we can expect the title of the film to change. But who knows, maybe they will actually try to continue Kang’s entire story arc.
Avengers: Kang Dynasty is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, which gives Waldron and Marvel more than enough time to figure things out. The film will precede Avengers: Secret Wars which will be released on May 7, 2027.
