Here is a wonderful poster print for the classic 1989 baseball film Field of Dreams. This is one of my favorite sports movies of all time. It also happens to be a film that reminds me of my grandfather, who was a formidable player in his day. They just don’t make movies like that anymore.
This print was created by the artist Adam Rabalais for the Heroes Complex Gallery. It is a limited edition print of only 150 copies and the 24×36 print can be purchased for $70 if you want one.
The fantasy sports film was directed by Phil Alden Robinson. The story revolves around Ray Kinsella, played by Kevin Costner, a farmer who hears a mysterious voice telling him to build a baseball field in his cornfield. Despite the skepticism of his family and community, Ray follows the strange lead. Not long after, legendary baseball players of the past, including Shoeless Joe Jackson, emerge from the cornfield to play baseball.
The story sees Ray embark on a journey to understand the meaning of the camp and what its purpose is. The film explores elements of redemption, second chances and the enduring magic of baseball.
