Courteney Cox shares sweet tribute to her FRIENDS co-star Matthew Perry along with fun behind-the-scenes video

The entire cast of Friends they reunited to mourn the loss of their real-life friend and co-star Matthew Perrypassed away a few weeks ago at the age of 54. The actors attended the funeral together and published a public post on behalf of the group, and some of them intervened individually to say goodbye and share fond memories.

Courteney Coxwho played the part of Monica on the show, Perry’s character, Chandler’s friend turned girlfriend and future wife, wrote a touching tribute to Perry on her Instagram this week, stating:

I am so grateful for every moment I spent with you Matty and I miss you every day.

When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here is one of my favourites.
To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night stand in London. But due to the public’s reaction, that became the beginning of their love story.
In this scene, before we started shooting, he whispered a funny line to me.
He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind. 🤍🕊️

The video he shared shows what fans saw when we watched the episode, starting with Ross running into Chandler’s hotel room to exclaim that he’s getting married. After Ross leaves, Monica appears from under the covers next to Chandler and says, “Do you think he knew I was here?” After a long series of shouts and applause from the audience, this is where the scene usually ends. But in this extended scene, Monica then adds another funny line that didn’t appear on the show, which she now credits Perry with telling her to say just before the scene begins.
