Disney’s live-action SNOW WHITE movie needs to make 0 million to break even… good luck!

It was reported that Disney Studios spent $330 million on its live-action adaptation Snow White, but Forbes has now offered some clarification on the matter. This latest report states that Disney spent $209.3 million to produce the film and that the studio would need to gross at least $340 million to break even. You have to remember that the studio will spend around $100 million on marketing the film as well.

As you know, this Snow White movie has been drowned in controversy. Many Disney fans were unhappy with the film’s star Rachel Zegler and the comments she made about the film. One thing she said is that Snow White will not be “saved by a prince,” who she calls a “stalker.” David Hand, whose father co-directed Walt Disney’s original 1937 film, finds the remake “offensive” and said his father and Walt Disney would be “turning in their graves”. Then there are the ridiculous looking CGI dwarves in the film. What a terrible decision this is.

I think there’s a chance that Snow White could actually break even at the box office thanks to people’s curiosity. Even if people hate the movie, they might still go out and watch it just out of curiosity. But Disney will definitely fight an uphill battle with it.

The film’s release was postponed, and it was said: “Disney had to delay Snow White because they spent so much money, and if it were a financial disaster at the box office, it could cripple future remakes and potential Snow White sequels that they planned.”

An insider had also previously said: “They also need to get the bad taste out of online critics’ mouths and instead want to deliver a great film and get to the point where they do it well. They realize they were overthinking things and are now reigning in a little more about everything.”

The story follows a princess who is rescued by seven dwarf miners, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy, who make Snow White part of their family after she is exiled to a dangerous forest by her evil stepmother, played by Gal Gadot.

Snow White was originally supposed to be released on March 22, 2024, but was pushed back a full year, to March 21, 2025. The film is directed by Marco Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man).

Do you think this movie will break even at the box office?
