Netflix has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming anime series from Legendary Television and Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. It offers another brief taste of what we can expect from the series, and I really hope it ends up being good!
Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One) stars in the series and provides the voice of Lara Croft.
The series will follow the adventures of Lara Croft and is set after the events of the video game reboot trilogy. This is the description that was shared for the project:
Lara Croft, one of gaming’s most iconic adventurers, makes her anime debut in an all-new series. Picking up the events of the reboot trilogy of the hit Tomb Raider video game, the animated series will chart the globetrotting heroine’s latest, greatest adventure. Twenty-five years after the release of her first game, Lara continues to explore new territory.
The anime was written and produced by Tasha Huo. Dmitri M. Johnson, Stephan Bugaj, Howard BlissAND Jacob Robinson will also oversee the series as producers.
