When that first photo emerged Hugh Jackman finally wearing Wolverine’s classic yellow and blue costume, fans went wild! It’s one of those things we’ve always wanted to see and never thought we’d see… until Deadpool 3. The director of the film, Shawn Levyrevealed Jackman’s reaction to wearing the classic suit, telling Jake’s Takes:
“When I approached Hugh with that idea, he was like, ‘Fuck yes!’ I’m so happy we were able to get that photo out before the strike shut down production.
He went on to talk about the moment he told Kevin Feige that Jackman wanted to be in the movie, and one of the first things he said was to use the yellow and blue suit:
“When we first told Kevin Feige that Hugh Jackman wanted to join the movie, my memory is damn close to the first thing he said [was], ‘let’s go with blue and yellow. Just tell me we’re going with blue and yellow.'”
So, that’s what they did! Levy recently touched on Wolverine’s importance to the story Deadpool 3 while praising Logansaid:
“I’ve always said I can’t wait for Deadpool 3 because all I want to do is do interviews with Ryan where we talk about our reverence for the movie Logan. Logan is canon. We love Logan. What happened. I want the world to know that, as a producer and director, we all share a deep love and respect for Logan, every aspect of how it is made and all the events that take place.
There has also been a recent rumor regarding Wolverine’s story arc Deadpool 3 and which will be one of the main elements of the film. Spoilers ahead for those of you who don’t want to know any possible details:
According to the report: “Deadpool 3 it’s about the TVA gathering the PRIME versions of each hero to create a multiversal army to fight the Kangs. And they chose Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to recruit, but he doesn’t quite agree. That’s what the movie is about. These are just unconfirmed rumors, but coming from a reliable source.
The released of Deadpool 3 has been delayed and we currently have no idea when it will be released.
