EXCLUSIVE: Black Bear and BlockFilm – the new production label of former Miramax boss Bill Block – are set to heat up the AMF market today with action films Levon’s tradewith Jason Statham (Fast & Furious franchise) and is directed by David Ayer (Suicide squad) based on a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone (religion).
The project is Stallone’s first screenplay since then Rambo: Last Blood in 2019 and Creed II in 2018. But when his boss’s teenage daughter, Jenny, goes missing, he’s called upon to restore the skills that made him a legendary figure in the shadowy world of Black Ops. His search for the missing student leads him deep into the heart of a sinister criminal conspiracy, setting off a chain reaction that will threaten his new way of life.
The team is scheduled to shoot in March 2024 in London.
