The season finale of Star Wars: Ahsoka ended with Grand Admiral Thrawn escaping and preparing to rule the galaxy with an Iron Fist and Zombie Night Troopers. But the heroes of the story seem optimistic and lived to fight another day.
In the final moments of the episode, Ahsoka Tano sees two things… the familiar convor bird, Morai, which is a symbol of the Daughter, who is the goddess of the Force representing the light side of the Force. She helped save Ahsoka’s life in The Clone Wars. The second thing she saw was Anakin Skywalker’s Force Ghost, who looked at her proudly with a smile on her face.
The official Star Wars site recently offered some official insights into this and what it means for Ahsoka. The released description offers a promising outlook:
“The Morai convoy and Anakin Skywalker’s Force spirit both seem to give Ahsoka Tano signs that she is exactly where she should be. With this simple wisdom, reflected in images showing Baylan on her journey, Shin ignites his lightsaber as he enters the bandit camp on Peridea and the arrival of Thrawn and the Great Mothers in Dathomir, everyone seems to agree.”
Ahsoka herself says she believes she is where she needs to be in the finale in order for everything to make sense. As Thrawn escaped, the series had a bittersweet ending and as the story unfolds, we all know that Ahsoka, Ezra, Sabine, Hera, and Huyang will emerge victorious. But it will be a long and difficult road for them.
